How much will it cost to become a BlueLens franchisee?
While the final costs have not yet been established, your total getting-started costs will be under $50k.
This will not include your living costs while you get your company up and running, and you should plan for a minimum of six months' living expenses.
What happens when BlueLens Franchise Group develops new products/services?
The BlueLens Group currently offers the following products and services: emessaging, search engine marketing, and Priority1email.
Because the online marketplace continues to take shape, we will continue to research and develop products/services that will subsequently be made available to our franchisees.
What is emessaging?
Emessaging is our internal word for email marketing. There are many different companies offering some type of email-related services. Our products and
services are focused on the customer relationship management (CRM) side of the business. We do not promote spam tactics or work with client companies that are email spammers.
What is the difference between the email services that Bluelens offers and spam?
The clients that use our proprietary technology are advertisers and marketers who adhere to the CAN-SPAM law. They have developed permission and
privacy policies on how they will collect online data and what they will do with that data. The email messages that are delivered from our technology is solicited permission-based
email marketing. Spam is unsolicited email.
What is the CAN-SPAM law?
The CAN-SPAM law was passed by congress in 2003. It is the United States's first federal law to address email marketing, and provides a set of
guidelines for companies to follow.
Can I do this part-time?
BlueLens is not a part-time franchise! Every BlueLens franchise will need to work full-time at building his or her franchise business.
Does each BlueLens Franchise have sales/growth expectations?
Yes — each franchise will be provided with information on minimum performance standards.
Do I need to acquire office space?
This is entirely up to the franchisee; we envision this opportunity as being home-based in the first two years. Then, as success and growth occur, the
need may arise for office space.
Do I need to hire employees?
No. The Bluelens Franchise Group will provide the following support: technical support, account services support, and sales support. This allows the
BlueLens franchisee to focus on identifying reseller clients and developing relationships.
Do I need to have email marketing/search/online marketing experience?
No: the training and education that we provide via our BlueLens University provide all the education that a successful BlueLens franchisee will need.
What will be the name of my franchise?
BlueLens Franchise Group is the name of the company that sells franchises and supports our franchisees. When an applicant purchases a franchise,
he or she will be running a BlueLens eMarketing Franchise. Each franchisee will receive an email address such as joe@bluelensfranchisegroup.com.
Will I have competition?
The online marketplace is no different than the fast-food market, where McDonalds competes against Burger King, Taco Bell and Subway.
Every brand has their own story to tell and competitive differences. BlueLens is no different, except for our own recipe: we have seven years of success showing that how
we work with clients on their email and search initiatives makes us a market leader.
Is the online market still growing?
Depending on what article you read or industry research you subscribe to, most would agree that the online market is still very much in its infancy.
The search market is a $9 billion-a-year industry, and expected to double by 2012. Email marketing spending will be over $1.2-billion in 2007; in five years, experts believe the
email industry could be a $3.5-billion industry.
